Cemetery Compliance ▸

Most cemeteries that require flush-to-ground markers have specific size, material, and foundation requirements. We work directly with your cemetery to verify their regulations before production begins — no surprises and no delays at installation.

Our Process ▸

Every grass level marker is cut, polished, and engraved at our facility in South Carolina. After you place your order, we send a proof for your approval before any engraving begins. Once approved, production takes 3–4 weeks. We coordinate directly with the cemetery for delivery and can arrange professional installation where required.

Frequently Asked Questions ▸

What is a grass level marker?
A grass level marker (also called a flat marker, flush marker, or lawn-level memorial) is a granite memorial installed flush with the ground. Cemeteries with "flat only" or "flush only" policies require this type. They sit on a concrete foundation just below the grass line so mowing equipment can pass over them.

What sizes are available?
Standard individual markers are 24"×12"×4". Companion (double) markers are typically 44"×14"×4". Infant and child sizes start at 16"×8". We also produce custom dimensions if your cemetery has non-standard requirements.

How do I know what my cemetery allows?
Call your cemetery and ask for their marker regulations — specifically size limits, material requirements, and whether they require a concrete foundation or border. If you're unsure, give us the cemetery name and we'll contact them directly at no charge.

Can I add a photo or portrait?
Yes. We offer laser-etched ceramic portraits, laser-etched directly into granite, and bronze photo plaques. Send us any photo and we'll prepare a proof showing how it will look on the marker.

Do you offer VA / military markers?
We engrave military emblems, service branch insignias, Purple Heart, and other veteran symbols on any marker. If you're eligible for a government-furnished marker through the VA, we can help you understand your options and what additional customization is available beyond the standard government issue.

What granite colors work best for flat markers?
Darker granites like Jet Black and Dakota Mahogany show engraving detail most clearly. Lighter colors like Georgia Gray and Morning Rose offer a softer appearance. All colors hold up equally well to weather and ground contact.
