What will the memorial cost?

There is no single average, because the kind of memorial matters most. At Gaulden, a flat grass level marker starts at $725, a bevel marker at $1,229, a slant marker at $1,384 and an upright headstone at $1,625. Companion stones for two people, heart monuments, bronze markers and columbariums cost more, up to $9,415 for our carved angel heart. Engraving is included in every price.

A memorial is solid granite or cast bronze, cut, polished and engraved to stand outdoors for generations. The price covers the stone, the lettering and artwork, and delivery to the cemetery. It is something you buy once, so we walk you through what goes into your price, and nothing is cut until you approve the final design.

Our most affordable marker is the Single Grass Level Memorial in Blue Ridge Gray granite at $725. Bevel markers start at $1,229 and slant markers at $1,384, and we keep a group of memorials under $1,500. Pet memorials start at $145.

Every bronze marker comes on a granite base. The veterans style single bronze is $2,199, our single bronze marker is $3,199, and the large companion bronze for two people is $6,210.

A 2 niche columbarium with a flower vase is $4,199, a 4 niche is $6,999 and a 6 niche is $7,639. Larger two-sided columbariums with 24 to 48 niches are priced with you directly.

Yes. Engraving is included, and delivery is free to any cemetery in the 48 contiguous states. On most memorials we also install for free in the central Carolinas, including the Charlotte, Asheville, Winston-Salem, Statesville and Columbia areas. Some cemeteries charge their own fees, so ask your cemetery.

Yes. You receive your final design within 5 days of ordering, and we cut, polish and engrave only after you approve it. On several of our headstones you can also type the names and dates on the stone's page and see them on the stone right away.
